Julie Portrait, 2016

Adolfo Peralta is a Rhode Island based artist, earning a BFA with a concentration in Painting and a BA in Digital Media and is apart of the 2023 – 2024 Accelerate Cohort. Throughout his life, he has had an affinity for traditional hand-drawn animation and its process. His work has historically centered on the physical body and movement; using images created in 3D landscapes as well as from photos and memory to inform his painting. Through painting, he is now exploring themes surrounding family connections, grief, queer yearning, spirituality, and the human experience.
