Join us with our partners @symposiumbooks for the first WaterFire Symposium of 2024 in the gallery @waterfireartscenter on Thursday, April 25 starting at 6:30 p.m. with critically acclaimed hhhauthor and visual artist, Robert Zeller (@robzellerart) as he discusses his newest book, New Surrealism: The Uncanny in Contemporary Painting (@_newsurrealism)

The book offers a sweeping exposition of both historical Surrealism and its legacy in the world of contemporary art. It demonstrates the many ways in which the most significant art movement of the last century continues to be relevant today, featuring an international selection of contemporary artists whose compositions and studio practice reveal its influence.

@waterfireprov is excited to announce our collaboration with @designwhat on a new jewelry line. Ashley has been both participating and vending at WaterFire Providence events for the past 17 years; she believes it to be a quintessential part of Providence and provides support for businesses like hers that rely on event-goers for sales of their artwork. Inspired by WaterFire, Ashley wanted to create something that would capture its essence.

Each piece takes inspiration from an element of WaterFire, handcrafted by Ashley. The products in the collection include:

🔥🧡 ✴️ Orange Fire Studs + Dangles
❤️❣️💥 Red Fire Studs + Dangles

Studs start at $15 and Dangles start at $20, all which are laser cut acrylic and crafted in the @designwhat studio (located right near the @waterfireartscenter in the Valley neighborhood!) ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

This is the FINAL week to view, ART is Everywhere: ART inc., A @rhodeislandpbs Exhibition, @waterfireartscenter!

We have been honored to collaborate with @rhodeislandpbs to bring the ART inc. series to life in the gallery this month. “As human beings, we’re innately creative. When we open ourselves to this possibility, we realize that art is everywhere" shared Tracy MacDonald (@doteltracy), the Executive Producer, Arts and Culture at RIPBS, "We’re thrilled for the opportunity to collaborate with WaterFire for this exhibition. WaterFire shifted the creative culture of the city of Providence and the state of Rhode Island. Their work continues to serve local communities and expand creative possibility. This exhibition is the perfect way to bring ART inc. stories to life in person. This collaboration and curation is its own form of art.”

The exhibition ends this Sunday, April 28, so be sure to stop by before it’s gone!
