Polymer clay is a lightweight, durable material that can have long lifespan if cared for properly. While the clay is flexible, please DO NOT bend it, as this will weaken the clay over time and could cause it to break. Clay can also be scratched and dented, so avoid dropping your pieces onto hard surfaces, or letting them rub against sharp or rough objects (i.e. your keys). Always remove your jewelry prior to showering, swimming, or applying hair products or perfumes. Should your pieces get dirty, you can clean them with a soft, dampened cloth. If the scuff or dirt cannot be removed with a cloth, you may dip a cotton swab into 100% acetone and gently rub the surface of the clay. (Please note that acetone can sometimes leave an unappealing white residue on your pieces. Please proceed with caution and at your own risk!).
We craft all of our jewelry using high quality materials and findings so that your pieces can stay with you for many years. That said, please know that even the highest quality seed beads may lose their color over time, and gold plated findings will eventually tarnish. To protect your necklace from wear and tear, avoid wearing it while in the shower, swimming, or doing heavy exercise. Store it in a cool, dry place away from excessive moisture or sunlight. Note that seed beads are glass, and therefor prone to breakage. Avoid dropping or crushing your necklace to keep your beads intact.
